The Dubai World Cup offers the biggest prize money in the world and draws an eclectic mix of race goers from around the globe. A Fashions on the Field competition encourages women to dress up in their finest gear and, of course, wear a hat! Prizes are awarded to the "best outfit" and "best hat". Judges included milliner Stephen Jones from England, model and author Tara Moss, Lily Arjomand from Saks 5th Avenue and Mary Bishara, marketing manager for the Al Maha Desert Resort. The day starts at about 2pm with Fashions on the Field registration and the first race takes place at about 5pm, continuing until late in the evening.
