Australia, Dubai, England and Wales show their best hats and headpieces
The BurJuman Centre, in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), hosted its annual International Millinery Exhibition in April 2010, ten days preceding the Dubai World Cup horse race. Seven designers showed their millinery creations:
- The hats on display were predominantly small to medium-sized hats and headpieces, with a few larger brims with shallow crowns.
- Christiane and Louise Harrison had lots of feathered fascinators and headpieces, which are always popular in Dubai.
- The contemporary millinery material sinamay was in abundant flow.
For three days of the exhibition, "Grazia" magazine was offering a style lounge – hairdressing and fashion advice for those getting ready for the Dubai World Cup. Women were not only buying hats for the races, but also weddings and special occasions later on in the year.
