The most important thing in getting a correct measurement is to get a friend's help! It is very hard to measure your own head. Follow the steps below making sure that you lay the tape measure flat so that you are not measuring your finger and your head!
To determine your head size use a flexible tape measure (one made of cloth or plastic).. Take the tape measure around the head, making sure it is just above the ears, about a fingers width above the eye brow and comes around over the occipital bone ( the little bump in the middle of the back of your head). Pull the tape to about the tightness you would like to wear a hat. Take this measurement 3 times or until you get a consistent reading. Once you have your measurement in either centimeters or inches, you can use the chart below to convert to the opposite.
